Rob Albright
From 1989-1990, Mr. Albright was an associate in the Boston office of the LEK Partnership, a strategy consulting firm. In 1991, Mr. Albright joined Cargill, where he held a number of management positions. He joined Cargill's equity arbitrage desk in 1991. His experience there included index arbitrage globally, convertible bond arbitrage and "pairs trading". From 1993 to 1995, Mr. Albright was the senior trader and systems architect on the municipal bond arbitrage desk before moving to Geneva and then London to develop and manage Cargill's emerging Europe/Africa equity operations. After returning to the United States, Mr. Albright managed the North American equity arbitrage desk at Cargill until his departure in 1998. From 1999 to 2000, Mr. Albright was the Chief Investment Officer of EW Blanch Asset Management, an alternative investment business focused on the insurance industry. In early 2001, Mr. Albright became a founding Principal of Alternative Strategy Advisers, which manages hedge funds and managed accounts for institutions and high net worth individuals. Mr. Albright received a B.A. in Engineering Sciences from Dartmouth College in 1989 and an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota in 2001. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and completing a Masters in Applied Mathematics at the University of Minnesota. Outside of work, Mr. Albright has two young children and is active in his church, kids’ schools, and in philanthropic efforts addressing education quality, veterans affairs, and health and human services in the Twin Cities.
